Sell or trade Gibson Les Paul Standard Faded 2008

1750 USD

Traveling to Richmond to purchase another guitar, so bringing along my 2008 Gibson Les Paul Standard faded and shopping it for sale or trade for other high end guitars or high gain amps. In terms of trades, I'm only interested in other high end guitars and high gain amplifiers. I'm willing to do trade + cash, or multi item trades as long as the gear is high quality, and the value is at least $1750.

I'm specifically interested in:
- Gibson Les Pauls with 60's slim taper necks
- USA EVH guitars
- USA Charvels, Jacksons
- Ernie Ball MusicMan Guitars
- PRS guitars
- Suhr guitars
- Friedman, Splawn, Bogner, EVH 5150III, or Mesa Mark IV or V amps
- Possibly very high end Japanese ESP and Ibanez guitars.

The Les Paul is in overall excellent condition with two small dings in the thin finish on the upper side of the body. Very, little if any visible fretwear as the guitar has been case kept by a collector, and seen very little play time.

If you're looking at this ad, you're probably already aware of the reputation of the Standard Faded series. If you're not already familiar with them, a quick internet search will give you an idea of the reputation these guitars have earned. These are getting to be some of the more sought after Les Pauls due to their consistently excellent build quality and tonal properties. Many consider them to be the best production Les Pauls ever made, and some even consider them to be closer in build and tone to the original 50's Les Pauls.

This was from the last year of production. It has the fatter 50's style neck (though still not a huge neck), and weighs just over 7 lbs. Due to chambered construction and the thin satin finish, the guitar has an amazingly full and clear tone and the kind of sustain that you'd expect from a Les Paul that ways much more. The top on this one is stunning and shows a beautiful flame pattern that shows new figuring from each different viewing angle.

The bridge pickup is currently a Motor City 2nd Degree Blackbelt PAF style humbucker, but the original pickup will be included. If you're not familiar with Motor City, they're a boutique pickup maker out of Detroit, and make some of the best sounding PAF style pickups on the market today. I greatly prefer the Motor City to the original Burstbucker pro, but the original pickup will come with the guitar.

Other than the bridge pickup, the guitar is all original, which is fairly rare in and of itself, since so many people bought these to modify and give a vintage vibe.

Comes in the original hardshell case with the original bridge pickup, trussrod tool, warranty card, and the never installed pickguard.
